WESLEY SEEWALD

Mr Seewald is a dedicated advocate who is committed to providing expert and expedient legal services to solicitors across South East Queensland.

Prior to being called to the bar in 2020, Mr Seewald completed a Master of Laws majoring in Legal Practice (ANU) to complement his Bachelor of Laws with Honours (SCU), before working extensively as a solicitor-advocate based in the Torres Strait Islands and Northern Peninsular Area. Mr Seewald then practiced as a private criminal law solicitor in the busy Courts at Cairns, representing hundreds of clients in matters ranging form driving offences to serious criminal charges before the Supreme Court.

More recently, Mr Seewald settled in Toowoomba and worked for a period of two years in a boutique firm that specialises in commercial litigation, estate administration, property law, contract law and employment law, while maintaining a caseload of criminal law matters which ensured regular appearances before the Courts of Toowoomba, Ipswich and Brisbane, and occasional appearances in regional centres such as Chinchilla, Dalby and Warwick.

While Mr Seewald has always enjoyed the challenge of oral advocacy before the Courts, he has developed a further passion for legal research and for drafting concise, detailed and persuasive written work in the form of submissions, pleadings, advices, legal drafts and research papers. 

When not engaged in legal work, Mr Seewald enjoys time at his piano or watching his local team the 'South Toowoomba Bombers' on the field.
